Sport Concussions-Reconnective Healing

From the article “The Truth about Concussions” by Cathy Gulli in MacLean’s (2011)

Kevin Kaminski, NHL player, at his 30th birthday: “The doctor sat me down and said, ‘Look it, one more blow to the head, you might be killed or you might not remember your family, ”

This was 1999. Why did it take so long to talk  about the dangers of concussions?

Why are people not resting after a concussion, and with resting I mean ‘being horizontal on a sofa’ – for a week or three, depending of the severity of the concussion.

A while ago they talked in the radio about the symptoms football players experience after concussions.

  • dizziness
  • headaches
  • poor memory
  • tiredness
  • double-vision
  • irritability
  • depression
  • everything slows down
  • poor coordination

Brain cells can record trauma. They recommended the website www.football.bc

Yes, Reconnective Heealing re-balances the body on a physical, emotional and mental level enabling the body to heal itself … but would it not be better to rest for a while after a concussion and support the healing process with excellent food and supplements before symptoms appear..

Why are people continuing to play after the third concussion?
