Processing Emotional Trauma

Many still believe  one can only recover from traumatic experiences  by talking about it – again and  again … by re-experiencing these painful emotions  repetedly. This is called processing. It is true  trauma should not and can not be repressed or forgotten.

Reconnective Healing® is another, a new  way to get over  emotional trauma in an easy way.

Dr. Mary Lynch, one of my teachers said by processings the groves get only deepened.  It also causes a lot of stress for the clientand we all know (hopefully) that stress is involved in 95% of all our health problems. This says the medical profession.

With Reconnective Healing® it is as if the ‘charge’ is taken out of the traumatic experience. The memory is still there but  one jis able to think and talk about it as one talks about other experiences in life.

Dr. Eric Pearl writes in  ‘The Reconnection – Heal Others Heal Yourself’ on page 162

“Also, this (Reconnective Healing) is not about processing. People on your table do not need to be crying and reliving old, painful experiences. That keeps them mired in the past instead of allowing them to move forward. The universe recreates itself around our picture of reality. If we continue to replay our old tapes, we tend to reproduce them as well. The concept of ‘no pain no gain’ is definitely no longer applicable.

Two thngs allow themselves to function within our illusory boundaries of time: our decision to accept the healing, and the immediacy and fullness of this demonstration. If someone is crying and processing on your table, you may elect to let them know that this does not have to be a part of their experience. If a number of people are lying there crying and processing realize it is you who are having trouble letting go of this belief – and the people who come to see you are merely picking up on it. Let’s do them  – and ourselve – a favour and release the old concept.  It is only holding us back. The healing that you witness will take place in an instant – with, and most likely by – the force of grace.”

Many professionals are financially benefitting from the concept of processing. In the past we did not know better. Nowadays every spiritual teacher is telling thaat we are the creators of our reality.  By thinking about and talking about something we create it. By visualising of course too.  I never went to a psychologist to process the trauma of my life but believe one cannot talk about something without visualising it.
